Minecraft Servers — Live Server List & Monitoring 2026
BestGames gathers 791 Minecraft servers in one catalog and checks each one with a direct ping: real player counts, version, and status refresh automatically every few minutes, and projects that stop responding are eventually hidden from the list. Minecraft is a sandbox by Mojang Studios (Microsoft) with two editions: Java Edition for PC and the cross-platform Bedrock Edition. Servers are community projects with their own modes, plugins, and mods — from pure survival to fully custom RPG worlds.
To find the right server, filter the list by mode — Survival, SkyBlock, BedWars, Anarchy, RPG, Prison — by version (the popular 1.16.5 and 1.12.2, plus the current 1.21.x line and 26.x numbering), and by platform. Open a project card, copy the IP, and connect.
Playing without a premium account? The catalog includes cracked Minecraft servers that accept players with no license check. On a phone or console, pick Bedrock Edition servers — they run on Android, iOS, and consoles.

SERVANT is a whitelist-based Minecraft Java 1.21.8 survival server with a roleplay focus. The closed-community format provides a stable and secure environment for players who value thoughtful survival gameplay and role-playing interaction.
MineLore SMP is a whitelisted Java server (1.21.11) focused on survival in a small, close-knit community. The project was created for players who value atmosphere and cooperative play over resource races or leaderboard competition. Entry is via an application form — not an exam, but a dialogue to determine whether the server's pace and format suit the applicant.
There are no lengthy rule books; common sense and mutual respect replace them. The emphasis is on atmosphere, building together, and conversation rather than high player counts.
Server features:
- Closed community with a whitelist
- Entry via a thoughtful application process
- Survival without a competitive resource race
- Rules based on common sense and mutual respect

TeamCIS is the official server of a team participating in the international Build The Earth project on Java 1.21.4. The project's goal is to recreate all human-made structures and notable natural landmarks at a 1:1 scale inside Minecraft. The team builds post-Soviet countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
To explore the current progress, download the modpack and connect with a licensed account. The server has no donation system and operates in creative mode, dedicated entirely to building.
Ostrov Svobody is a multi-mode Minecraft server featuring a unique in-game currency earning system. After registering on the server, pick up quests from the NPC "Missionary" in the lobby, track your progress through the menu, and submit completed tasks to the NPC "Foreman". Successful missions reward you with the "ril" currency (1 ril = 1 Russian ruble), which can be withdrawn to a bank card or Russian phone number starting from 50 rubles.
The administration team is 16+ only. No administrative roles or privileges that break game balance are available for purchase. Approximately 90% of the plugins are developed in-house, ensuring prompt bug fixes and regular updates.
Several large game worlds are available: Arkaim — a creative mode server open to everyone; Ostrova — a skyblock server where players develop a small island into a full city through quest chains; Daaria — a vanilla survival server running version 1.16+; Midgard — a clan server featuring wars, step-by-step progression, and religious mechanics. Each world comes with a complete interactive menu.
Mini-games on offer include CS:GO, BedWars, KitPvP, BuildBattle, and more — all enhanced with custom additions.
PublicEvo is a vanilla survival server running Minecraft Java 1.6.4, online since May 14, 2023. The project is built for players who value classic gameplay without economic layers: there is no donation store, no land claiming, and no planned resets — the world grows and persists long-term.

More than 15 years since release and over 350 million copies sold — Minecraft remains the best-selling game in history. Mojang switched to the Game Drops system: instead of one big annual update, frequent themed drops ship throughout the year. In 2025 came Spring to Life (biome mob variants, the Firefly Bush), Chase the Skies (the tamable Happy Ghast you can fly with up to four players), The Copper Age (copper tools and the Copper Golem), and Mounts of Mayhem (the Spear weapon, the nautilus, and zombie horses as mounts). From 2026, Mojang introduced a new version numbering of the 26.x form instead of 1.x.
Server Cores Keep Up
Paper and Purpur already support the new numbering. Folia — Paper's engine with multithreaded region processing — is built for large servers and holds 200+ players without TPS drops when gameplay is spread across the map and plugins are compatible. Velocity replaced BungeeCord as the standard proxy for large networks. Fabric and NeoForge give modders tools that didn't exist a couple of years ago.
Why Servers, Not Realms?
Realms is convenient for playing with a handful of friends. But PvP leagues for hundreds of players, custom RPG worlds with quests, or rule-free anarchy need full servers: custom plugins, unique worlds, an economy, and events that vanilla doesn't have.
How to Choose a Minecraft Server and Not Regret It
There are hundreds of servers; new ones appear every day, old ones close quietly. Here is what to check when choosing.
Version and Platform — Check First
A Java Edition server won't accept a Bedrock player, and vice versa. Confirm the version: modpacks more often run on 1.16.5, 1.12.2, or 1.8.9, while current content runs on 1.21.x and 26.x. You can filter the catalog by version and platform; the most requested picks are 1.16.5 servers, 1.12.2 servers, and Bedrock servers for mobile.
License: Premium or Cracked
Some projects run in online-mode (a licensed Minecraft account is required), others in cracked mode, which you can join without a license check. This is a technical server setting, not a quality rating — pick the one that matches your client. Projects that skip the license check are collected under the cracked servers filter.
Donations: Pay-to-Win or Cosmetics
Fair donations are cosmetics, tags, and pets. A warning sign is selling combat advantage: Netherite armor, kits with elytra and enchanted gear for money. If a small payment grants a full combat loadout, the server's economy is probably broken.
Anticheat and Moderation
Without working anticheat, PvP loses its meaning: Kill Aura, Fly, and Reach quickly drive honest players away. Before registering, it's worth joining the project's Discord and asking which anticheat is installed, how fast bans happen, and whether appeals exist.
